Sooo, let’s take a break from A New Journey. Let’s talk about what happened today.
Okay, I’m in the “gifted” class for algebra and math. It’s not that easy. VARIABLES! So hard! Anyway, we had to design a logo for our class. I had NO IDEA where to start. Our class is called Mrs. P’s Problem Solvers. I said “P” because I’m not revealing her real name.
“Design your logos, please,” she said, “and submit it to me within one week!”
I was freaking out about what I could draw and stuff, but I finally knew what would be perfect. A blue-purple gradient background, “MRS P’S PROBLEM SOLVERS” in the middle, and a picture of people showing teamwork above it.
It was beautiful. I originally wanted to put a panda at the top because we used to be Mrs. P’s Pandas. But, not everyone is a fan of pandas so I decided to do the problem solvers, as you can see above. I was totally BETRAYED when she said, “…and we’ll vote next week.” I went home wondering who made what.
Alright! It’s now week two! Yes, I am actually writing this week by week, like a diary. So today we saw everyone’s ideas. Turns out, the majority of the class put pandas on their logos. I voted for 1. Lori (all names are changed!) because her panda and the lightbulb floating above its head was adorable! 2. An ex-friend, named Aaron. We were friends in third grade, but now all he does is ignore me and try to prove me wrong with dumb conclusions 😄. I didn’t know he was so good at drawing! He drew a person with a lightbulb for a head. Not bad! It looked realistic. The last one I voted for, obviously, was me. Hey, I really wanted to win! I’m kind of a competitive person, but I’m more of a… friendly competitive person! Someone even publicly humiliated me by voting for me and then switching to another person out loud. Haha, okay, bye.
And it’s the third week now! We found out the results! I was pretty sure John would win because he’s really popular in our school.
“Okay! Gather up, it’s time to announce the winners of our logo contest!” called Mrs. P. “Third place is tied for John and Aaron!” the class applauded.
“Second place is Lori! Great job!” added Mrs. P. The class clapped and some people gave her compliments.
“And, now, the moment you have been waiting for!” She paused. Everyone leaned forward in excitement. “First place is…. congratulations, Aadya!”
Wow, I couldn’t believe it! I won! I spoke with her and she said she would make us posters with MY logo on it! This is sooooo amazing! Finally, finally, something good happened.
Great job! I’m a ‘Gifted’ student too; man its hard!
Same lol
Yeah, I think I can win.
Yep 😛
Congrats anyways for your logo being used! Is it virtual school, or school in person?
Both.
OK. School in person for me…
Congrats!!! Maybe you can post a picture of it on your “My Art”
Nice one! I know who Mrs.P is.. Anyway, great job!! Was the drawing realistic?
Just wondering…
Mine? No, it was a cartoon.
Oh okay, anyway, NICE JOB!!
Great job Aadya!
